Coast Line Convention Center
- Public and private events throughout the year.


Sarah Graham Kenan Auditorium
- Concerts and performing arts performances throughout the year.


Thalian Hall Center for the Performing Arts
- Thalian Hall has been in continuous use since it opened in 1858. Forming the east wing of Wilmingtons magnificent City Hall the facility hosts over 250 performance events annually. The complex houses three performance venues the Main Stage the Grand Ballroom and the Studio Theatre.


Poplar Grove Plantation
- Programs and events throughout the year. Poplar Grove Plantation preserves the homestead of a successful farming family and the outbuildings and crafts typical of an 1800s era working community. Poplar Grove is preserved through the efforts of the non-profit Poplar Grove Foundation.


Louise Wells Cameron Art Museum
- Exhibits throughout the year. The Cameron Art Museum is the only institution in the United States dedicated primarily to collecting preserving and exhibiting the art of North Carolina.


Wilmington Childrens Museum
- Various programs and activities for children throughout the year.


Cape Fear Museum
- Cape Fear Museum collects, preserves and interprets objects relating to the history, science and cultures of the Lower Cape Fear, and makes those objects and their interpretation available to the public through educational exhibitions and programs. Wilmington Railroad Museum
- The Wilmington Railroad Museum has an eclectic collection of displays, which you and your children should find fun and educational. On the FUN side are a Thomas the Train play area, operating HO and O guage trains, and a real life-size caboose and steam locomotive. Educationally, we trace the historical development of railroads in the Wilmington area as well as the careers of famous people who were involved with railroads, such as Thomas Edison and George Pullman


The Wilmington Symphony Orchestra
- The Wilmington Symphony Orchestra remains a cultural jewel for the community, performing a series of subscription concerts for thousands of adults and school children throughout the year.


Battleship North Carolina
- The Battleship NORTH CAROLINA is a proud reminder of American efforts to protect the free world. Come aboard and experience first-hand the patriotic pride that carried her brave crew to victory. Various special events are held throughout the year.


North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher
- The North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher Aquarium displays aquatic life of the Cape Fear River and wetlands, creatures of the coastal waters near the river's mouth and life in the open ocean beyond. The New North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher is just south of the town of Kure Beach and just north of the mouth of the Cape Fear River. The newly expanded Aquarium contains many new exhibit areas, including a half-acre freshwater Conservatory and a two-story saltwater habitat called Cape Fear Shoals. The facility includes many interactive exhibits, three classrooms, a 150-seat auditorium, and a gift shop. Outside, visitors enjoy nature trails, garden boardwalks, and pondside observation decks. Mounted telescopes invite closer inspection of birds and waterfowl.


Airlie Gardens
- Airlie Gardens encompasses 67 acres of quintessential Southern gardens with 10 acres of freshwater lakes. Features include azaleas, camellias, statuary and the historic Airlie Oak. This once privately owned garden was purchased for the public by New Hanover County in January, 1999. The gardens are located near Wrightsville Beach on Airlie Road.
