March 6, 2010 - Cape Fear Literacy Council's Mardi Gras Auction - A wildly popular Wilmington event, Cape Fear Literacy Council's Bid For Literacy Auction blends the glittering exuberance of Mardi Gras with a lavish buffet donated by local restaurants and a wealth of eclectic silent and vocal auction items, contributed by the region's artist, business, professional and film industries. March 12 - 13, 2010 - Back to the Beach - The Sun Coast Cruisers, Wilmington's largest car club will begin their summer program with a first class event focused on a "Back to the Beach" theme at the Ft Fisher Recreation Center, Kure & Carolina Beach, NC. If you are looking for an exciting week-end join us for one of the biggest events to hit PLEASURE ISLAND this season. No Motorcycles, 4x4's, alcoholic beverages or loud music. March 13, 2010 - Wilmington St. Patrick's Day Festival - The Wilmington St. Patrick's Day Festival will start after the St. Patrick's Day Parade ends, around 12 noon and last into the evening. March 18 - 21, 2010 - North Carolina Black Film Festival - A four-day jury and invitational festival at the Cameron Art Museum, Cape Fear Museum, 3201 S. 17th St., Wilmington, NC. March 20 - 21, 2010 - Coastal Living Show - This year, the Coastal Living Show will again be presented at the Schwartz Center on the Cape Fear Community College campus at 601 N. Front Street, Wilmington, NC. All proceeds from the fundraisers are distributed as charitable contributions to benevolences in Wilmington and North Carolina. March 20 - 21, 2010 - Cape Fear Wildlife Expo - Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy two days of hunting and fishing exhibitors, wildlife art displays, decoys, boats and accessories, truck and ATV displays, Hunter Safety Certification Class, fly fishing demos and fun for the entire family at the CFCC Schwartz Center, 601 N. You will have the opportunity to work with instructors who will teach you the wonderful art of using herbs in a variety of ways.
