November 7, 2010 - Annual Battleship Half Marathon - 8:00am. The Wilmington Roadrunners conduct this challenging TAC-certified race that starts and finishes at the Battleship, encompassing three bridges and Greenfield Lake. November 10 - 14, 2010 - Cucalorus Film Festival - Beginning with a magical event in the fall of 1994, Cucalorus has established itself as one of the few truly independent film festivals in the world, serving the needs of filmmakers before the interests of corporate sponsors or the studios. November 11 - 12, 2010 - Artisans Holiday Boutique - 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Southport Community Building Bay Street, Southport, NC. The Artisans Group, a group of more than 70 local artists, was organized to promote art and art appreciation in Southport and surrounding communities. Admission is Free. November 13, 2010 - ChowdaFest - The Annual ChowdaFest is presented by Fat Tony's Italian Pub, 131 N. Front Street, Historic Downtown Wilmington, NC. This annual event includes all-day music and plenty of great clam chowder and more. Food and fun for the whole family! $5 admission includes a cup of chowda. November 26, 2010 - Island of Lights - Light Up The Lake - The light up ceremony officially begins the month long Island of Lights Festival. Entertainment is provided by local Boy Scouts and Carolina Beach Elementary School Chorus. Walk one mile around the lake to view lighted displays, caroling and live nativity provided by community groups. Santa to visit celebration. Free. Call (910)458-6885 for more information.

November 27 , 2010 - NC Holiday Flotilla & Day in the Park Festivities - The annual Holiday Flotilla Festival in the Park is to be held on from 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. at Wrightsville Beach Park. There will be an Arts and Craft Show, performing artists, children's rides, entertainment, and other special attractions. There will be a display of classic and exotic automobiles. November 2010 - Festival Latino - A festival where the diverse people of the Cape Fear Region can learn, share, and enjoy the Latin-American culture in music, food, dance, language, arts and crafts. 10 year Anniversary for this cross-cultural celebration with lots of Latin dancing(dance lessons included), the Latin food court, the kids fiesta and the great Mexican Hat Race. November 2010 - Model Railroad Show & Sale - Plans are under way to include all the activities you have come to love about this annual event while featuring the many model railroading items our vendors will make available for sale. November 2010 - Cape Fear Kite Festival - Come watch as we paint the Cape Fear Sky! Flyers from all over will be joining us for our Fourth Annual Cape Fear Kite Festival, held on Wrightsville Beach, in front of Shell Island Oceanfront Suites, 2700 N. November 2010 - Annual Turkey Trot - 7:30 AM, Wrightsville Beach Loop, Wrightsville Beach, NC. The Turkey Trot is one of the largest Thanksgiving Day events around the country. It is one of the most fun ways To Begin Thanksgiving Day. The 2.4 Mile Turkey Trot around the Loop and our 1 Mile or 2.4 Mile Gobbler Family Fun Walk is designed to accommodate everyone. On-site registration in the rear of the Park begins at 7:30am. $15 per person till 11/20, $20 per person after 11/20, Children under 12 FREE.
